Terms & Conditions
A 50% non refundable deposit is required via direct deposit to secure your booking.
Payment of the rental deposit constitutes the clients acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
On receipt of your deposit, a confirmation will be forwarded to you, stating arrival/departure times and access information.
Balance of the rental amount must be direct deposited in full 14 days prior to occupancy. If not the owner has the right to cancel the booking and attempt to re let it. Bookings made within 14 days of the arrival date are required to pay in full at the time of making the booking.
The client must supply full credit card details as security for the booking to cover any additional costs incurred including but not limited to, any breakage, damage or excess cleaning requirements, extra guests beyond those declared...etc.
If a cancellation is caused by the client, your 50% deposit is not refundable unless the house is re-let for the entire period. If a refund is made to you due to the property being re-let then a $100 cancellation fee will be applied.
Twin Rivers Retreat is a working farm and to maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.
Number of guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email. Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance.
Parties and functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in additional payments.
Property damage, breakages, theft and loss are the clients responsibility during their stay. No liability is accepted by the property owner for any injury, debt, damage, loss, delay or inconvenience caused by events outside the owner’s control.
Departure - The client agrees to leave the property in a clean and tidy state with rubbish placed in outside bins and all washing up done and stacked away.
All property interiors are non-smoking. If smoking outside please extinguish and bin your butts properly.
Check –in time is 2pm. Check-out time is 10:00am by the latest, to allow time to prepare for next guests. Early arrival and late departure in some cases can be arranged with the management.
Disturbance, including excessive noise is prohibited and may result in termination of rental. Under these circumstances no refund will be given and alternative accommodation will not be made available.
Linen, bath and pool towels are supplied.
Pets are not allowed unless specific arrangements have been made in writing with the owner. Loss - the owners take no responsibility for the guests personal property.
Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements with the owner in writing.
Please take off your shoes before entering the house. Our house has a no shoe policy (slippers permitted). Special requests can be made to the owners.
Bin liners are provided for your use kept under the kitchen sink. Upon leaving Twin Rivers Retreat, please put all your general rubbish in the red bin and recyclable rubbish in the yellow bin provided.
Our chooks would appreciate your food scraps. Please store your scraps in the blue chook bin provided on the kitchen bench. These can be taken down to the chooks anytime before midday. Please do not let the chooks out of the chicken house.
It is very important that you please keep all insect screen doors closed at all times.
Placemats and coasters are provided for the indoor and outdoor timber tables - please use them when dining and drinking at these tables.
Our rainwater is delicious and filtered at our tanks but if you prefer to have it purified, please use the clear jug in the second draw under the purifier to fill up the purifier from the tap at your convenience.
We request that you utilise the showers / baths and air conditioning in moderation please.
Please check you have turned off the gas nobs properly on both the cooktop and BBQ.
Chopped wood for the fireplace for your use is kept near the BBQ area on the outdoor shelf.
Please use clothes washing liquid provided in the washing machine ~ only a small amount is necessary. Short cycle is requested.
Platters and serving crockery are kept in the cabinet under the TV and the cabinet near the armchairs.
Please use the plastic crockery, serving plates, wine/champagne glassware and general glassware provided for around the pool. These all will be found in the kitchen and butlers pantry.
ALL breakages and damages must be paid for.
